NBL One
NBL1 is Australia’s newest winter basketball brand. Designed to combine traditional state basketball leagues with the power of the NBL and to provide a genuine pathway for WNBL and NBL athletes. NBL1 is the premier league in Australia after the NBL and WNBL, showcasing Australia’s best emerging talent and many other professional players. Importantly NBL1 features both women’s and men’s teams. The league celebrated its inaugural season in 2019, and currently consists of 18 clubs across Southern Australia. It is played across 15 rounds and a four week finals series with every game live streamed to bring fans closer to the action. It offers Basketball fans around Australia a competition to support during the NBL’s offseason and provides a professionally organised league for aspiring athletes around the country.
