At Snooze, the idea of a good night’s rest goes beyond mattresses—it’s about helping Australians wake up to better opportunities. That’s why Snooze is proud to be a national partner of The Smith Family, Australia’s leading children’s education charity. Through this longstanding partnership, Snooze’s 80+ stores sponsors students through The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program, which supports over 62,822 young people with school essentials, learning programs, and one-on-one mentoring. It’s a powerful model that helps break cycles of disadvantage through education.
In addition to an annual donation—raised through both corporate contributions and in-store fundraising—Snooze teams also get hands-on: from writing Christmas cards to sponsored students, to online mentoring, to hosting Smith Family speakers at Snooze events. And this year participating in the Dream Run and raising funds over the month of June. Snooze has embedded this partnership deeply within its purpose-led business strategy. Staff engagement surveys show the impact goes both ways— Our organisation has a positive impact on the local community and Snooze employees report greater pride and satisfaction when involved in CSR activities. It’s a reminder that community partnerships can benefit both brand and heart. Snooze and The Smith Family is a great example of how consistent, thoughtful CSR can create lasting impact—for young people, for communities, and for teams.
And one of the greatest results in the partnership is sharing in the joy from the sponsored children. Enclosed is a beautiful painting and thank you card from one of our The Smith Family participants. Furthermore, of the 17 UN Global Compact Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s), The Smith Family partnership enables Snooze to support 1. No Poverty and 4. Quality Education.
