Lighthouse Foundation has been transforming lives for over 33 years, supporting vulnerable children and young people to overcome adversity through their holistic, evidence-informed Lighthouse Model of Care. The Foundation provides those who have experienced homelessness and/or trauma with a safe place and the therapeutic relationships they need to heal, grow, and thrive. In 2023–24 alone, Lighthouse supported 182 young people, children, and babies—each referred at a time of serious vulnerability.

Omnia, LK Hospitality’s first restaurant currently at 25 Toorak Road, will move into its new permanent home at Capitol Grand. Work on the redevelopment of the Derwent Entertainment Centre (DEC) will begin next month. The site area plan for the transformation of the DEC and surrounding Wilkinsons Point has been approved by the Tasmanian Planning Commission. The approval opens the way for a $150 million retail, restaurant and hotel development. This news follows the sale of Wilkinsons Point to the Tasmanian State Government and the LK Group, as well as the announcement of a new Tasmanian NBL team. Expressions of interest are now open to take part in the major retail precinct at the reinvigorated Wilkinsons Point.
